Description
Omnivorous Leafroller Biology
Omnivorous Leafroller (Platynota stultana) is a pest of various fruits throughout most of the world. Economic losses occur primarily on grapes, kiwi, and tree fruit. In spring, moths lay shingle-like egg masses on leaves. After about 5 days these eggs hatch, and larvae web two young leaves together to form a nest in which they feed on from the inside. Later, larvae feed where fruit are touching, so entire clusters can be damaged.
